Images of the Tallship Lynx, a replication of an 1812 square top sail scooner from the War of 1812,122 ft., 114 ton, with a battery of 6 pounder carronades. Painted from photos and on site when LYNX visted Clayton NY in June of 2011.

Thanks Patricia. I drove from Wellesley Island To Ogdensburg to take some photos and do the painting, as the Lynx would be in Clayton is two days. My plein air group would be painting the Lynx and I did the paintin and made some prints to to sell if visitors were inteested. Did you know Morristown Public Library is sponsoring a Plein Air Contest Aug 1-4 with a silent auction of paintings on Sunday from noon to 4? Should be a number of artists painting at 25 selected location on a map so visitirs can see them in action.
