A recent plein air painting from Bluff Island in Lower Sanarac Lake, Adirondacks. The Mountains in the distance are McKenzie and Haystack (on the right). The water was a deep green shade in spite of the blue sky. Higher up on the island there was a constant stream of jumpers from the cliff with those below cheering them on. Many ponton boats and personal watercraft passed by with waves to us so they could photograph 2 artists at their easels, high up on the edge of the rock dropoff. Campers on an adjacent island swam over with dog tagging along, also to watch the jumpers. Price quoted for original painting does not include a frame.
Artist Statement I produce a lot of St Lawrence River Art featuring the Thousand Islands Region because that is where I live and find inspiration, as well as inspiration from travel and Museum visits.
