Description
While visiting Cape Coral FL., another artist took me down to San Carlos Island on Mantazas Harbor, Fort Myers, to plein air paint shrimp boats. PENNY V had ARAMSAS PASS, TX. painted on her stern. Shrimp boats go out to sea for 30 days before returning with their catch. The spot looked like one for reconditioning as painting, grinding, net repair, and other activities were in progress. The sailors and dockhands were friendly down to earth people. Many stopped by to check the painting process. A tour group passed through and the leader asked to take photos of me. I guess I'll become part of promotional material.
