Description
Painted July 5, 2011 from the boat launch area. Thousand Islands Land Trust was sponsoring a kayak trip on the lake late that afternoon so I arrived early with another plein air artist to capture the scenery. About 60 kayak (canoes, rowboats) participated with one of the lake residences providing refreshments later.

Still have the original which I painted en plein air just prior to a joint Thousand Island Land Trust and Indian River Lakes Conservacy (IRLC) kayak tour of Millsite Lake about 3 years ago.. The tour was followed by a nice reception at one of the cottages on the lake owned by a IRLC officer. This year I donated a framed print of this painting for the IRLC auction. It also appears as my signature photo on New York Plein Ar Painters (NYPAP) website of which I am founder and event organizer of the Plein Air Painters Thousand island Region ( PAPTIR). PAPTIR is a Chapter of NYPAP.
