Description
My daughter is a hiker and does so while I paint. She found this trail which is about one mile. 1/2 mile up and 1/2 mile down. She thought it had a great view for painting so she backpacked half of my gear up the half mile while I pulled my painting cart . The view is roughly east of the Ghost Ranch and includes Abiquitiu Lake and Pedernal Mountain. The flat topped Pedernal is in the right side of the painting. It appears in many of Georgia O'Keefe as background to many of her bone paintings. No one else came through the trail and I was always looking over my shoulder as as the area is also inhabited by cougars and bears,
